-updated 10/19/2005 electrical upgrades done

Exceptional opportunity to own a freshly refurbished DeLorean that had been stored for almost 20 years. This car needs absolutely nothing, just get in and drive. See photos at below.
1981 Black Interior, Gas Flap Hood, Automatic, VIN 02466. 25000 miles.
In the past year I've done a complete mechanical restoration and upgrade on the car, making it into a highly reliable daily driver, only a few details from a show competitor. Receipts for $5000+ in parts available.
Overall the condition of the car is immaculate. The frame required no restoration, only a good cleaning and some POR-15 touch-up. All systems have been thoroughly inspected and repaired or upgraded as necessary. Everything works. Seats are in good shape, no tears although there is a small spot where the dye has worn and they are a bit "hard" being original 24-year-old leather. Air-conditioner is freshly professionally serviced with R12 and blows ice cold. Originally an inland North Carolina car, has never been exposed to road salt and has probably not been wet since 1985.

Stainless Header Bottle (at parts cost, or you supply)
Repaint Front And Rear Facias (Bumper Covers) to Correct Color ($900)
--The facias are in very nice shape, perfectly straight, but have been painted a lighter silver color that appears to match the stainless. I elected not to repaint them because I do not do body work, and the labor rates in my area are non competitive with much of the US. Get it done locally and you can definitely beat this price.

Note the DMC Quality logo still in the driver side window - these normally get destroyed by the sun if the car sits outside much

Trunk

Interior

Original DMC Wool floor mats - the logo is not embroidered but is dyed in the wool.

The speedometer was working when I got the car and is believed (but not warranted) accurate.
