I've heard it mentioned that a Chrysler minivan rear hatch seal is
identical to a DeLorean door seal. Has anyone confirmed this? I'm
interested in replacing a door seal, but I can't get one from Chrysler
without knowing the specific model and year of minivan. Anybody know this
valuable information?

The 1981 DeLorean that had been donated to the University of Tennessee
will be available for inspection, etc in Nashville during the DOA Expo.
Recall that the car has less than 1500 miles on it (really). We have just
finished the typical fuel system renovation associated with a vehicle that
had been stored for years. Details (parts replaced, etc.) are available
to interested buyers. This car is in outstanding condition and anyone
interested in a pristine DeLorean should consider it. The university
requires that bids be received and I will be happy to send a copy of the
instructions to anyone who might be interested. The minimum acceptable
offer is $20,000.

I have heard that there is an after market cross reference parts list for
the
Delorean. Does anyone have this compiled/available?
Also, I have just acquired #1704 (1981) from Lance Motors in NJ. If
anyone
has information on this car, I would love to hear it.

John Truscott of the DOA has a database with background
information on many DeLoreans. He was able to tell me the
original owner of my car, and the city where it was sold. If
you really are curious I suggest you join DOA and ask John.

Subject: DeLorean not welcome in New Hope?
Hi,
A Co-Worker just left me the front page of the 8/8/96 Intelligencer
Record
(Central Buck Edition).
The front page article includes a picture of Aldo Buono with his
DeLorean.
Reading the article, it looks like the organizers of the New Hope Auto
Show
do not feel the DeLorean is Exotic, and have told the members of the club
that our beloved Stainless Steel car is no welcome at their show!
The article goes on to say that Buono claims he has attended the show
past
years, but this year the new hope show is trying to "Upgrade" the
character
of the show.
Well, The show was last weekend.. Anyone know what happened? I feel so
Dised! Delorean is now down with the common muscle cars of the 60's and
70's! Dont get me wrong, I own a 66 mustang and love it, but it's no
DeLorean!
