PLEASE STOP SHOUTING.

I had a similar problem with an erratic tach a while back that stemmed from a
poor ground connection on the battery where it attaches to the frame. This
connection point electro-corrodes creating a connection with some resistance to
it. As the electrical power consumption and generation changes (such as when the
A/C kicks in or when the alternator gets some more RPMs), the voltage in the
system will change also if the negative battery connection is not good. Another
way of telling this is if your tach jumps when the A/C cycles or if your car
doen't crank very well, even if the battery seems fully charged.

Question ! My 83 has one key for door, ignition and lockable
compartment ... is this unusual because it reads as if there are other
owners who have the "normal" two keys. Regards, Marv Sterling

Anyone have a list of all the magazines from the late 70's - early 80's
featuring the D? I have a few, and would like to try and fill out my
collection. (Car and Driver, Road and Track, etc)

Thanks in advance!

I need to remove the oil pan on my DeLorean. Does anybody have any
helpful information for me before I lie on my back for hours with bloody
knuckles? It appears that three sides of the oil pan bolts are easily
accessable but the fourth side is blocked by the frame crossmember. do
you have to unbolt the motor-mounts then jack the engine? or what? Also
I am wondering if there are any Delorean groups or DOA chapters in my
area (Northern Virginia). This mailing list is a great forum for
DeLorean owners/fans to discuss the car as well as to get (almost) "on
line" help with repairs from other D-Nuts! Thanks in advance for all
your help, Dennis.

there were 3 gold ones made with brown interiors and i saw one
of them at a car museum in reno a few years back. they are worth a lot i
hear and i think are 24k plated so you can guess they are worth a bundle.
 just my 2 cents.

Good news and bad news! After repeatedly slicing my hand on the stainless, I
finally got the passenger side window to work. Unfortunately, the driver's
side window has a broken drive cable. I was wondering if anybody knew of any
way to replace just the cable that actually moves the window up and down.
The motor and the plastic elbow are fine, but the cable snapped. Also, does
anybody know a good place to send the clocks to be repaired? Brainstorming
appreciated!

When the winter is outside the windows and the days are very short,
then it's time to make plans for the summer...
So I was thinking that it would be fun to have a meeting for
Delorean owners in Europe this summer.
My suggestion is that we have a meeting in Denmark, they have Nice beaches,
good beer, nice people and it's long evenings in the summer so we can
BBQ all night.
How does it sound ?

I have a strange vibration in the stearing, especially when you do fast
turns from one side to the other.
I belive the "problem" in the stearing gear, so I'm planing to "open"
the stearing gear and add some grease.
Do anybody know the best way of doing this job ?

I would like to wish every DMC lover a Merry Christmas & a happy New Year !

Unfortunately, the address I gave everyone to send their orders was
incorrect. The correct address is:

13215-C8 SE Mill Plain
Suite #408
Vancouver, WA. 98684

Where, the old address was "13215 C. SE Mill Plain" (With the "C8"
missing). This address is a subsection area of where I live, so between
the "C" and "C8" makes a big difference on where the mail gets directed.

For those of you that sent the orders, it may get retured to you with an
"unknown address" within a week or so. So, there are 2 things I can
suggest

(1) wait and see what happens with your order (should it get returned or not),

or (2) just write up a new order, with the correct address, and should I
get your old one, I'll let you know and tear it up. It might not be a bad
idea to put a "stop payment" on your other check.

I appologize for any inconvenience, and hope this is the correct one for good.

Sincerely,
David Takeuchi
