There are two allen screws holding the fuel distributior/air fuel mixture
assembly down. They are on the top-rear of the intake. Remove these two
allen bolts and you can lift the fuel distributor up enough to easily get
the cap off.
Hope this helps,
Duke

I found a site with some literature someone may want. http://autolitshop.com
Just select U.S. Auto, then scroll down to DeLorean and then click on it and it
will take you to the page.

A styling tweak was made to the 82 De Lorean tail pipes to give them a more
robust appearance. To achieve this look a 2 1/2" O.D. stainless steel
tapered adapter was welded onto the 1 1/2 stock pipe. Although this is a
10001 + Vin update it does appear on earlier vin's due to QAC rebuilds and
other replacement situations.
The larger tips can only be ordered as part of the entire muffler assembly
part #110194 priced at *$468.75 The pre Vin 10000 is part #100420 w/o tips
priced at *$368.75.

rear end is going to be up on jack stands while I do some work and I dont
want to damage anything. I have the shop manual but it doesnt say anything

European style headlights for the De Lorean are available from Hella as part
# 78105 (inboard) and 78155 (outboard). No modifications are required for
installation. Be aware that these lamps are not D.O.T. compliant for USA
applications.

Origionally there were only 2 Gold DeLoreans manufactured. They were part
of a VISA Gold Card Promotional (I may have the name wrong).
There was a spare set of panels produced in case one of the two cars had
body damage and needed parts. After the factory went bancrupt the spare
panels were used to assemle the last DeLorean Motor Car.
I hope my information was accurate and interesting to you. I would
appreciate it if anyone could correct any errors I may have made.

Hi Jim,
Recently I've been having trouble with my headlights too. They would flicker
then go out. I cant tell you how many times I've had to use my super brights.
We tried everything to get them to work. Finally we went to the fuse box and
the fuse was partially melted. Look in your troubleshooting guide and find
wich fuse it is. Hope my advice has helped.
