DeLorean Mailing List - 1/5/96 Subjects: ADMIN NOTE Antenna location My opinion of Swedish Autoservice Update on Auction ----------------- ADMIN NOTE: How about a New Year's Resolution? When posting to the list, try and make your subject as descriptive as possible. I have been editing some descriptions as I have the time when people have just hit the "reply" button, and "Re: DeLorean Mailing List - X/X/XX" gets automatically inserted. This will make it much easier for those who save the back issues to find things, and makes you look like a better informed user. Thanks, and happy new year! James "Mikasa" Espey Moderator, DeLorean Mailing List Subject: Antenna location Sent: 01/04 10:26 AM Received: 01/04 8:37 AM From: NOTES.FEMBDEN@A50VM1.trg.nynex.COM To: dmcnews, dmcnews@goodnet.com This is a second request.. I an installing an electric antenna, and would like to know the exact location in the body panel for drilling, and mounting this new antenna.. Any suggestions? This could potentially be a sticky area, as some of us have had "unpleasant" experiences with certain parts/service orgs, while others have had nothing but positive experiences with the same firms. Today I faxed off a letter to each of the better known DeLorean parts/service forms, requesting information from each of them. Those that choose to respond will have their information posted as a link off the DeLorean Mailing List home page. I have never used any of the "Big Six" firms for vehicle service, though I have ordered parts from most of them. In particular, Tim at Swedish AutoService in Santa Ana has always provided me with excellent customer service, shipping my parts promptly, and often at the best prices. Having ordered from him, he now knows me and when I have a problem, he has been willing to talk me through a problem and recommends alternatives to new parts when appropriate. In fact, I find myself recommending Swedish more often than any other company.
