It shouldn't be too difficult to send them over, as the Fuego get
imported to Germany. Mail me if anyone needs help on small(!) European parts.

I use a standard screeching alarm (an Ungo), but I've also used
another trick that is sort of a manual kill switch. Under the dash,
just beyond the trunk latch, is an inversion switch which will shut
off the fuel pump in the unlikely case that the car is inverted. You
can manually flip this switch by lifting the little plunger,
preventing the car from being started. I thought it was clever,
anyway.
I would assume that a careful installation wouldn't affect the car's
"original" value. You might want to avoid holes in the dash area for
indicator L.E.D.'s, though (advice which I didn't listen to).

Well, I wanted one that had good features as well as extras...for
example...mine talks...in an attractive, yet commanding female
voice...starter kill, lights, perimiter alert (the car chirps lightly when
it sences movement around about a foot or two from the car...
About the only thing it doesn't have that I wanted and will soon be
building into it...is a pager system...
Radio Shack carries such a system with starter kill that pages you
when there's an intrution...
I've mentioned it before...I don't plan on selling the car, so I
really don't care if anyone feels this is damaging the value....

I've photo copied my friends Hummer parts book, have a copy avaliable to
sent to you via e-mail free of charge, however I need to encode it. The
price for the complete kit is only $25.00 and that includes the harness
assembly, bezel, and light.
Mr. Takeuchi if you see this, tell me if you want a copy. I converted
this into a gif. file, but I have to encode it to send.
(Moderator Note: These Hummer parts manual pages are available here.

Shoot..., at $3500 - $4,000 a panel, with hundereds of them lying beneath
the ocean floor, it would seem enough to start fishing for the dies.
Anyone want to go deep-sea fishing, and make some $$$$? 8-)

All right everyone, everything is set with my new server. So..., my new
e-mail address is:
Takeuchi(AT)teleport.com
Don't worry if you accidently send to my other address. I can still get
it, and I will keep checking that till the word spreads. Also will be
working on reprogramming the web-pages with the correct address (...and
some new postings).
I would also like to thank everyone for their patience, and your support
for the DeLorean Web Pages.

Subject: Hummer Interior Light = DMC interior light
Yesterday afternoon I stopped by my local Hummer dealer (Scottsdale Hummer,
owned by Kachina Cadillac, Parts Dept phone #602-945-1200) and checked out the
interior light people have said is the same as the DeLorean interior light.
Well, yes and no. At least in the '95 Hummer I looked at, the light is the same
size and functions the same way, but the finish on the black bezel is a matte
finish, like the knobs on the A/C panel, not smooth like the DeLorean interior
light bezel. Perhaps some 1000 grit sandpaper could correct this, but I honestly
don't think that it's that objectionable, perhaps in Concours it would be, but
as I have never participated in one, I couldn't tell you if the judges would
notice something like that. In any case, I ordered a light assembly and bezel,
they should be here in a week to two weeks and I will let everyone know how it
works in practice. BTW, here are the part numbers and "retail" prices.
06004087 - Bezel, $2.30 and 06004088 - Light Assy, $16.47
