In regards to an alarm system... I have always been a big fan of LOJACK. I have
had it, nor have I known anyone who has had it, but wouldn't that be a good
system to have as well? I don't know what kind of changes are made to the car,
but that sounds like a good alternative.

Does anyone know where to find articles/information about the dumping of the
dies and the attempted retreival?
Also, it seems that if they can raise entire ships and airplanes that sink, why
is is so difficult to some dies?! Sure, it would cost a good chunk of money,
but it would be worth it....wouldn't it?

The new paperback book, "1995-1996 Star Guide" (1995, Axiom, ISBN
0-943213-17-7, $12.95), lists an address for John Z. DeLorean. Don't know if
it's correct or not. I'm not at liberty to give out celebrity addresses for the
cast & crew of the "Back to the Future" movies (although I don't think John
DeLorean qualifies, but to be on the safe side...), but that doesn't mean I
can't point interested parties in the right direction! Hope this helps!

Subject: Any DeLoreans for $ale?
Hello! I'm writing to the DMC News hoping that someone out there can help a
reader of ours from Japan. I've tried to explain to him that what he's
looking for technically only exists in the movies. He wants a "Plutonium
DeLorean", of which I've told him that those were only made for the movies.
He still wants a DeLorean, but doesn't know how to go about getting one in
Japan evidently. In his first letter to me, he mentioned that he'd be
willing to pay upwards of $30,000 for a DeLorean, so I'm sure it's worth
someone's time to write the guy if anyone's interested in selling one to
Japan. Here's the letter I just received so that any interested parties can
understand what he's wanting to find. And if anyone know's where to get
some of the BTTF attachments for a "Plutonium" conversion, even better!
Thanks in advance from the staff at Back to the Future=99...The Fan Club!

Dear Mr. Clark;
Hello! How are you? I'm Kenji Suzuki looking for a plutonium DeLorean in
Japan. My ad was placed in the "Hill Valley Telegraph" #17. I've been
waiting for about one month only to receive no response so far. Is it
difficult to get a DeLorean? Or is it because I live in Japan, not in the
United States? I am a little disappointed at the result. Anyway, thank you
very much for giving me an opportunity.
My another ad is going to appear in a newsletter issued by Owners
Association introduced in your "Telegraph".
I'm very sorry to trouble you again, but I have a favor to ask of you.
If you know, would you please tell me the name of a person who has an
intention to sell his DeLorean? I'll patiently wait until the chance comes.
I beiieve there is someone who will understand my passion and seriousness
somewhere in the United States. Frankly speaking, my view of life has
greatly changed since I saw the movie. I think it's wonderful to share the
same excitement with different people through a movie. Your "Hill Valley
Telegraph" also tells it to me.
I'll wait as long as possibility exists. So please let me know when there
appears someone who can understand my affection toward the movie and the
DeLorean and sell it to me.
I enclose some money for your correspondence expenses.
I wish you and ...THE FAN CLUB continued succcess and further
development. I'm looking forward to receiving a good answer from you.

Not sure what his home address is...Have you checked your local
library?...In fact, I'll run over to mine and check the phone book archive
there...Friend of mine's also been going on about this new CD-ROM phone
book of the world she just bought. Maybe she can find it.
If you do happen to get ahold of it, let me know. I'd be happy to
have it amoung my collection of DeLorean documentation...hehhe

Subject: Outline of hood in stainless
Does anyone else have the problem (?) of the outlines of the underhood material
(fiberglass?) showing through on the stainless? It's difficult to explain, but
I'm hoping someone will know what I am talking about. It's almost as if it was
cleaned too "hard"? Assuming you can understand what I am trying to explain, can
these be removed, or are they necessarily undesireable?
