To all of you having throtle linkage problems. Watch it! Don't "goose"
the accelerator - I did and it locked at max - no fun going through an
intersection at 80 mph - between keying off and dead stop I travelled
nearly two NY city blocks i.e 2/10 of a mile. Just thought that you
should know. Regards. Marv Sterling

A lot of people don't realize that there is a lock box behind the driver's seat.
A lock on your glove box is an invitation to get your dashboard wrecked should
anyone break into your car.

O.K. Here's one for you. My car runs flawlessly when dry but as soon as it
starts to rain heavily it misses badly. I've done everything I can think of
including spraying the entire electrical system with waterproofing, putting a
new gasket on the cover over the coil and connectors, and other things I
can't think of now.
It only seems to happen when the road is wet enough for the tires to throw
water. Anyone have any ideas? Not a good thing in Oregon.

Subject: Ventilation System
I have owned my car now over four years, in that time despite days
pulling the dash to bits I have never been able to find out why I have no
air delivery. The fan appears to work (and spin the right way), all of
the control valves open and shut on cue, yet I get barely enought hot air
to defrost the bottom two inches of windscreen. I suspected the air-con
matrix of being blocked, but a vacuum cleaner blowing in reverse seems to
penetrate the matrix with no difficulty. Please help before I have to
face another English winter unheated. Being in Europe I have an
advantage in finding a lot of mechanical bits for the car as they are
common to a lot of Euroboxes. e.g. front calipers/pads are Ford Cortina,
rear ones are Jaguar XJ6. I have replaced quite a few parts on my car
courtesy of the local breakers yard. Our chapter is attempting to put a
list together of known common parts, I will post it when it is finished.

Subject: European springs, 4.0 litre Rover stroker
I have a theft recovery DeLorean and the engine is shot. I'm getting
ready to put it back in shape and am looking for (1) Set of european
springs or cut down info to modify mine, (2) Info from anyone who has
successfully stuffed the Rover V-8 into their DeLorean. It's small,
weighs the same, and as a 4.0L stroker should move that 2800lbs of
plastic and foil in a manner more in keeping with it's appearance. Other
options, sell the thing for parts. I have the "Stolen Unrecovered" title
and a letter from the insurance company transferring their interest in
the car to me. Any help?
Bob
