Delorean, 5 speed, grey interior. This car has only 11K miles and is as near new as you will find a Delorean. Everything on the car is original. Even the original Goodyear tires and orignial window sticker. Will sell $19,900. Please respond: Perline(AT)mail.mc.maricopa.edu or (480)966-6006.

What's the cross-reference number for the D's air filter? I tried the 81 Volvo 260 (but only list B28 engine type with no "F", and the filter is slightly thinner (in thickness dimension)... any idea? And the oil filter number too?
Thanks,

Mime-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; format=flowed Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit
Hello DML'ers,
I want to contribute to the DMC society in trying to build a DeLorean registry for owners all over the world. It is my hope that this info may reflect how many DeLoreans there REALLY are left in the world, incl. those in storage, wand that this info can contribute in boosting the car's value.
The information will be accessible for everyone and will be published on the Norwegian DeLorean Owner's Club Website at:
http://home.sol.no/~delorean/registry
I want to stress the fact that this is a directory for DeLoreans only and not the owners!
For the time being you can e-mail me your DeLorean info to:
delorean(AT)online.no
Of course such a way of registering means that you have to be HONEST and send the CORRECT information on your car. You can of course also send in this info if you are an enthusiast who knows of a DeLorean that sits in a dealership or in your neighbor's garage.
The following info MUST be included: 1) The DeLorean's COMPLETE VIN number 2) Type of transmission (5-speed manual or 3-speed automatic) 3) Interior color 4) Country where the car resides in
Best wishes Stian Birkeland NORWAY

Yep, that's the plate and the car is owned by Mark Bourne and lives just north of London.
Feel free to have a look at his car on the "Members Cars" page - he removed his front plate for an Outatime plate at this show, but I do have a few pics from the night before the show opened where he has his normal plate on. I will up load to the vault when i can a) Find the pictures and b) work out how :o)
No details about how it came to be on the album cover, but should be seeing Mark in the near future.
Best Wishes,
Martin http://delorean.connect-2.co.uk

There is a ball bearing that the tip of the key has to move aside just as y= ou start to insert the key into the ignition switch. In my car the steerin= g wheel has to be in the locked position before you can insert the key. Th= e previous owner mentioned something about it (like he'd had this done to s= afeguard the car, although I don't see the point) . Now it is getting more= difficult to get the ball bearing to move out of the way. My questions ar= e:
1. Should I try graphite ?
2. There is an ignition switch repair kit in the parts database (part #1008= 23R). Does anyone know if this kit would help ?
3. If I were able to purchase a replacement ignition assembly (#100823), w= ould I somehow be able to change the cylinder so I could still use my exist= ing key ?
4. Does anyone else have this "feature" on their car ?
Thanks,
Steve Pattison Vin #2528

Avery Fisher Free was the advertising agency that created the TV commercials for DMC.
The partners later split up.

I've been posting FOR SALE notes but from some of the feed back I've gotten it appears some of the moderators haven't. We'll have to clarify our policy concerning them but in the meantime there is a site to list FOR SALE DeLoreans, www.dmcnews.com/buysell.html. Hey, it's free!
