ADMIN NOTE
All of the AOL recipients should know that Tuesdays digest was held up by the AOL-
mail system for several hours. AOL says this will be an intermittent problem

Subject: Cleaning the black areas
DeLoreans have a lot of black trim , etc. on them, and I have been using
Armor All on areas like the louvres, front air dam and side moldings.
However, the front and rear fascias have a matte black finish on each end
(the "bumpers"). I have tried Armor All, car wax, a "Black Trim" polish and
STILL can't get them to look as black as the other areas mentioned. What is
everybody else using on their cars?

Subject: DeLorean Books and a rivnut question
A book that I didn't see mentioned on the DeLorean Mailing List
web page (http://www.goodnet.com/users/mikasa/oldnews.html) is Volume 21,
Number 2 of Automobile Quarterly. While the whole book is not devoted to the De Lorean,
the book has a great article and a number of good pictures.
How do you replace a rivnut in the fiberglass shell? The trailing arm shields are
attached to the fiberglass sheel with rivnuts, and on mine the bolts have
rusted intot he rivnuts, and nothing I tried will break them free. Someone else
has been here before me, as two of the bolts are broken off. Can these really be tapped
out, or can the whole rivnut be replaced, and how?
