There was a total of seven DeLoreans used in the three BTTF films. One
resides at Universal Studios Florida, at least two reside at Universal
Studios Hollywood, one is at the Hollywood Casinos in Tunica, Mississippi,
and at least one has ended up in one of the vastly growing "Planet
Hollywood" restaurants. One of the two working cars used in the first BTTF
film ended up in Steven Spielberg's personal museum.
No, the cars have never been made availalbe for sale to the public. You
can, however, rent one from the Studios for a mere $8,600.00 a day!

Sounds like it. I know a guy that grew up w/ Delorean's Bro. in
Cleveland. He does own a Cadillac dealership and I assume (dangerous
assumption) that this is the same person.

Subject: ME Jason
I have posted a couple things but I never told yall about me. My
name is Jason I am 13 and I love the delorean except my best friend hates
them. I live in Haw River, NC. I like fast cars and also remote control
cars. So if anybody knows where I can get a delorean RC Car please tell
me, I want one. I want a delorean when I get to be 15 or 16, but my
parents tell me that i am not getting one. They say that they are to
old and won't run good. But I think they are great even though i have
never rode in one before but I touched one. Never sat in one. I want
to ride in one. Well, I don't have that much delorean stuff but I have
2 pictures and a model of the BTTF delorean. I want a full delorean
model not BTTF. I like the doors on it they are cool. I have only seen
two deloreans in real life and they where beat up. I want one this
Christmas so I can start fixing it up. But my parents want me to wait
till I am 15 to get me a TRUCK. Yuck. I don't want one. I want a
delorean not a truck. I want to be different. I am going to lower the
delorean and put some more speakers and a new sound system in it, if I
get one. Sorry, My sentences are run on. I found one that hasn't been
driven in two years. I want to fix that one up.
Want to be delorean owner,
Jason Brown
P.S. If anybody has a place where I can order a Remote control Delorean
Please tell me I want one.

We have a rubber squeek coming from our steering wheel and it is really hard
to turn off of center. It sounds like something has gotten bound up
between the column and the shaft. Is there a rubber block somewhere in the
steering column that may have fallen out of position? Any ideas about how
to fix this? I don't see anything obvious.

Jason T. Brown asked:
>Would a truck run better than a delorean?
I have a van, a Blazer, and a DeLorean. All three run great.
The Blazer is a 1970 K5 CST made when John Z. DeLorean
was running Chevy (Stainless Steel Illusion has a picture of
JZD standing beside a Blazer just like mine).
If any of the following apply to you then a truck is better than
a DeLorean:
1) You live in Siberia.
2) You need it to carry anything bigger than a golf bag
(eg. a wife & kids).
3) You are pulling one of those big, silver Airstream
trailers to the Grand Canyon next summer.
4) You neglect the DeLorean.
Note that a DeLorean is not cheap to maintain, but it is
pretty reasonable. I have a friend with a Corvette who spends
much more on maintenance than I do, but my girlfriend has a
Porsche and spends a little less than I do (all three drive
about the same miles per year).
A new pickup would be cheaper to maintain than any of
them, but ten years from now that pickup will be worth about
$500 while the DeLorean will probably be worth $30,000 or
more.

Joel Baum said:

That Charles DeLorean probably *is* the brother of John
DeLorean. Charles DeLorean was the name of the man who,
until a few years ago, did run DeLorean Cadillac on the west
side of Cleveland. I have never met him, but frequently when
people see my DeLorean they tell me: "Hey, I know his
brother, Charles (I've heard Charlie & Chuck too)" or, "I grew
up in his brother's neighborhood."
One person who lives in the neighborhood said she sees
John DeLorean drop by the dealership all the time. That's
probably not true, but it makes a great local legend so I don't
argue.
John DeLorean's nephew, Mark DeLorean, now runs the
dealership. I have many nice things to say about Mark! Last
year he aired a local TV commercial featuring a few stills of
the DeLorean Sports Car. After several unsuccessful
attempts to videotape the commercial (I could never predict
when it would be shown) I called the dealership to ask what
time and channel I should tune in to tape it. Mark DeLorean
himself took my call. He was so nice that he sent me a
copy of the commercial himself! That tape (and letter from
him) are now very special to me.
DeLorean Cadillac does service the car, and often you can
see some of them in the garage or on the lot. My current
mechanic was trained there, and he is excellent. If I ever
have trouble getting on his schedule I will take my car to
Mark DeLorean for work.
Humorous note: last time my car was towed, the driver
erroneously marked his paperwork:
Model - DeLorean
Make - Cadillac
It's a common mistake in Cleveland.
BTW has anyone checked out Christina Ferarri's new TV
show? Just curious.

I had a similar noise after driving through about 6" of water last year
on my way to the Las Vegas Expo. I asked around at the tech seminars and
was told to lubricate the bushing betwen the floorpan and the steering
column. I just shot it with some WD-40 and its been fine ever since. Mine
was not as difficult to steer as you make yours sound, but I'd give it a
shot.

Hi all,
When I bought my DMC a few weeks ago, it came with a LARGE 3-ring
binder with absolutely EVERYTHING you'd want to know. Wiring diagram,
parts digrams, you name it, it's in there. I can make a 300 dpi scan of it
(or higher) and then create a PDF for it. The diagram comes with a 2 or 3
page list of numbered items-->part name.

please give me the crash course on the Angle Drive or whatever else the

BTW, Josh and C2, I too am a long-haired DeLorean owner. Maybe we

My antenna can only be operated by hand although the antenna motor seems to
be operating. Do I need an entire new antenna\motor? If so, what is the
replacement process?
I'm familiar with adjusting the tension on the door, however what about
adjusting front to back? When the passenger door opens, it sounds like it
rocks toward the rear of the car a bit. This means that it requires more
force to close or it will be in that almost closed position. Has this
happended to anyone ele?
Finally, too each his own, I love my DMC!

I had mid back length hair for the last five years. At 63 dit was
obviously grey and I wore it "willie Nelson" style (bandanna and all).
Finally decided it was time for a change and am back now to "socially
acceptable".
Kent Van Metre (Minnesota) has two DeLoreans and 3 Harleys!!!
Crash course on angle drive will, no doubt, come from someone better able
to explain than I.
