Friday May 25 - A Private Memorabilia Museum and the Ulster Folk and Transport Museum
Today we took a bus ride out into the suburbs to the home of a man with a serious car-memorabilia-collection problem. This is also where we first saw the scope of the number of cars attending. This is just the front yard, many more in the back. We counted 35 cars, including 5 that were right-hand-drive models.

My turn in one of the RHD cars. Seems very strange. Directory-keeper Ken Montgomery looking on.
Then it was on to lunch and the Ulster Museum of Transportation. Here we were able to view the prototype stainless steel frame, one of the 50000-mile endurance test cars, and the wooden Guguario mockup.
This is the test car, next to it was the stainless steel rolling chassis
This is the wooden full-size model of the car used for styling evaluation. The left and right sides displayed the modifications to styling made during the design phase.
Michael Loasby, DMC Director of Product Development, gave a talk about the development of the car.

All the Euro license plates...
A demonstration on how to clean the stainless, even in the rain.
Then it was on to dinner at the Northern Ireland Assembly dining room. This General Government Office of Northern Ireland, including the place where the Parliament meets.
Here was the view from the Assembly Dining Room to where the cars were lined up. This was featured on the evening BBC news. This is the largest gathering of DeLorean cars since the factory closed in 1982.
Our host Robert Lamrock, bids us good evening and explains tomorrow's agenda. We'll be visiting the factory where the cars were made, and then holding a car show and concours judging.
Later;
Dave
