This is semi-DeLorean related. This year Rich left the D-Rex at home not wanting to overexpose it. Instead he took the GT40 rock Crawler constructed for the Monster Garage show (sporting a new all-DeLorean springs suspension), and the Buick GN-powered 83 DeLorean. Ken Koncelic dropped by as well as many of the other regulars.
The wild thing was Rich's Buick/Lorean winning first place in "Consolidated Sports Car" whatever that means. (Maybe it means that there aren't many sports cars at a hot rod show). The GT40 came in second, pretty good for a 4-day build.
