Options and Accessories

The cars were available with either a 3-speed automatic or a 5-speed manual transmission and you could get either a black or grey interior. There were no other factory options or extras. There were 3 cars manufactured with gold-plating. This was part of the initial American Express Gold Card promotion. You could order you gold-plated DeLorean in the American Express catalog using your credit card. Only 2 cars sold that way. The final car produced was clad with the spare set of gold body panels.
