You can subscribe to the DeLorean Mailing List for free! Either click on the SUBSCRIBE link here or send a blank e-mail to: firstname.lastname@example.org . Go to http://groups.yahoo.com/group/dmcnews for details.
Address all postings for the DeLorean Mailing List to: email@example.com
To unsubscribe, send a blank email from your subscriber account to: firstname.lastname@example.org Please note that this may take a short while to take effect, be patient. You can also do this at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/dmcnews
Want to say something to the Moderator, but not post it to the whole list? Since we are now rotating through six moderators, this will hit 'em all. Drop a note to moderators(AT)dmcnews.com
You may read the current messages (and backissues from 4/99) on the web, even without subscribing, HERE.
Before posting to the list, we strongly suggest that you read the Rules first.
The DeLorean Mailing List is a moderated list. That means that every posting is read first by one of the moderators. Moderators take turns, changing once a week. This is to screen out non-DeLorean advertising (aka spam), redundant postings, and other things that keep the list from being a useful source of information or clutter up the archives. This is not a chat room, and the moderators will screen out the usual non-pertinent postings.
You will get from 10-30 emails per day. If this is too much and will cause problems, you can change your subscription to a daily digest or summary of the list. This is one email per day of either the entire contents, or just the subject lines. Go to http://groups.yahoo.com/ for details.
The most effective way to get started it so sit back and get a feel for the list for a week or two. Read the recent back issues. Many common first-time-buyer questions are covered right here on the web page, check the FAQ and the TechSection. Read the rules.
Then go ahead and jump in. Ask questions, make comments, seek advice. Many of the major DeLorean parts and service companies monitor the list, and will even jump in and answer your inquiries.
Any questions on the list activity should be directed to moderator(AT)dmcnews.com

Want to see the main control site for the DeLorean Mailing List? Go to http://groups.yahoo.com/group/dmcnews. This is where you can manage your own subscription. If you want to see the "files" section or post from here you have to create a Yahoo ID - instructions are on the site.
If you don't want to log in, you can get to the archives but can't post from there, and it excludes some other goodies such as putting things IN the "files" and modifying your subscription.
If something happens to your email account, messages will be bounced back to the list. When this happens, YahooGroups will send you a warning message, if the warning message itself bounces you will be placed on bouncing status.
When this happens, I usually do the following: Any email subscriptions are changed to "Daily Digest" and reset. Any "Daily Digest" subscriptions are changed to "Daily Summary" (headers only) and reset.. If you had stopped getting the regular notes, and suddenly started getting digests or summaries this is probably what happened. If you get your problem fixed, and want to be changed back to real-time email, see above CONTROL. Or write us.
If you suddenly stop receiving the DMCNews emails, and have fixed the problem, please send a note to the moderator and ask to be reset. This may take a few hours to take effect. If you have been unsubscribed, you will have to sign yourself up again. "Bouncing" is usually caused by letting your email box fill up while on vacation. Second most common cause is changing your email address. If you do this you will have to re-subscribe yourself. Please let us know and we'll delete the old account.
The usual stuff. Please read it here.
Everybody's got them, even us. How to be a happy list member. And keep everyone else happy. Read Em!
